Diego Vainer is an electronic musician, composer, producer and sound designer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.


In 1993 he created the electronic music project “Fantasías Animadas”, with which he began to identify his compositions and presentations. Under this project he has released four albums of electronic compositions to date: 93+94+95, Pendiente, Arquitectura and Aliento.


In December 2025 he will release a new album “FARO” with works that he has been presenting in his performances in recent years.


He worked as an artistic producer in various recording projects with artists such as La Portuaria, El Otro Yo, Intima and Rosario Bléfari. He collaborated with Daniel Melero on the album “Piano” and “Dejaré que el tiempo me alcance”, and with Gustavo Santaolalla for his projects “Bajofondo Tango Club” (Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album 2003) and “Terraplén”. The latter, shared with Gaby Kerpel and Daniel Martín, investigates the union between Argentine folk music and electronic music, and was released in 2010 through the Universal.


At the same time, he works in composition and sound design for theater, contemporary dance, films, audiovisual works, and art installations. As a result of this work, in 2009 he released the album Escena, an album that includes a selection of musical works made for film, theater, dance, installations and urban interventions.
